About
Katherine is a driven and self-motivated artist that primarily works in theater, but loves to venture into the world of interior home design, photography, wedding videography, dance, and choreography.
Katherine has vast experience in leadership and teaching roles. She has taught artistic workshops to high school and college age students in dance and theatrical scenic art. She hosted various scenic art workshops to students at the Groton School in Groton, MA, apprentices and interns at Gloucester Stage Co. in Gloucester, MA, as well as an online Zoom" “Intro to Scenic Art” presentation with young students at the Parker Theater in South Salt Lake, UT.
Katherine was the president and choreographer for the University of Maine Hip Hop Club 2015-2016. Under this role, she fostered a fun and safe dance environment for dancers of all skill levels, created choreography to be showcased at the end of each semester performed by the entire club, edited music, created tutorial videos, and promoted story-telling through hip-hop with groups of 70+ dancers.
She also served as a teaching assistant to her Boston University Scenic Art program mentor Diane Fargo from 2016-2018. There, she helped manage the paint shop alongside her two graduate peers and be available to answer student questions during large practicum class sessions. She also taught a month-long paint shop production training course to the incoming School of Theater freshman class and lead teams of undergraduate students in the painting of scenery for BU SOT production work calls.
