Those enrolled in the scenic art program at BU are given the tools and responsibility of being in charge of all painted scenic elements that go into a fully realized theater production. As a graduate certificate student, I got to take on the role of scenic paint charge for various productions, attend meetings, create paint processes based on designer renderings, provide samples, and lead crews in the overall painting of scenery.
